Do you enjoy the music in Guild Wars?
Prophecies has the best music as far as I'm concerned. I have to say, Jeremy Soule rawks. I've played Neverwinter Nights before playing Guild Wars, and I had the feeling Jeremy Soule did the music of Guild Wars, too. I love the music in Neverwinter Nights. And I also love it in Guild Wars. It's realllly good. Especially the pre-Searing music.
So I'm hoping he does the music in Guild Wars 2, as well.
By the way if you have the Guild Wars music disc that came with the Guild Wars 2006 1 Million edition, track 15 is my favorite. :P

I love the music too! Wishing I had a CD of it as well. Kinda broke now though. ^^;;; But yes, definitely hoping they use the same composer for GW2

The music is great, but no matter how superb the music is, you'll always get sick of it after listening to it for hours on end. I don't think many of us still have the music on in any game after playing it for more than a month.
I'm a big fan of game music, and always leave it on in singleplayer games. It took me a good while to turn it off in Lineage 2, and I still occasionally turned it back on when I went to areas I hadn't been to before.

I can honestly say that the music in Guild Wars is very average. Its like something very small in the background. It is required, its absence will be very noticable, yet its presence is very unnoticable.
The only complaint I have is that Nighfall music is too repetative.

I love the presearing music, the rest of the music is still very good but to be honest like someone above said, i too prefer to play Itunes in the background the majority of the time (except when in pre)

Much as I enjoy the music, I do sometimes wish I could run one of my media players while I play. Unfortunately, I think that would cause my computer to explode. Really need to update this PC...

Jeremy Soule's best score by far is the soundtrack he did for Icewind Dale. I dont much like the production for the NWN2, Oblivion and GW soundtrack, but that won't be anything to do with Soule.

I think the music is well done, but it's really not my cup of tea. I'm more into the eerie sort of darkwave that Chris Vrenna did on A.M.'s Alice.

It's not bad, but I usually listen to my ipod or am on vent with all the sound on GW lowered drastically.

I like the GW music, (as someone said above) especially when going into a new area. For awhile, after finishing Prophecies the first time, I turned the music off and went to the Internet Radio for my background sounds. Did the same with Factions. Curiously, though, I had a better appreciation for the music when I turned it back on after a long period without it. It really is artfully done.

I really like the GuildWars soundtrack.
One of my top favorites is "Crystal Desert" from the original guildwars.
I have every directsong music pack (including the "Special Edition" track aka Direct Song Original Sound Track + 4 extra songs not found anywhere else)
When they had a poor music track sheet that played the same direct songs over and over ... it did drive me nuts and disabled it, but they have since fixed that.

I like the music but I absolutely HATE the combat music in Nightfall. I wish they made it able to be troggled off.
*soothing music*
mob 1...
*BAM BAM BAM PAhAHAHAHA!*
mob 1 dead...
*soothing music starts from the beginning*
10 sec later, mob 2...
*RAMBAM RATATATA!*

i liked how nf had battle music when you enterd battle, and i also like the music in the jade sea. But other than that i found it a bit boring most of the time.
And i can understand the "non battle" music of nf gets very repetitive just drum beats over and over :/
